Fashion: meaning and profits.

It's been a while since I wrote something interesting in my blog. Previously I am into "current events" like what's going on in the world blah blah blah but then I’ve realized that the topic is lame. Lame in a sense that everyone is watching Television and reading NEWS whether it was written in paper or in PDF file so why bother telling the world what is going on when in fact they already know it before I post it in my blog. So without further ado, let’s start with a new topic which is FASHION which by the way about Clothing, Shoes, Bags, Jewelries ETC. As per definition of Fashion in Merriam Webster: Any mode of dressing or adornment that is popular during a particular time or in a particular place (i.e., the current style). It can change from one period to the next, from generation to generation. It serves as a reflection of social and economic status, a function that explains the popularity of many styles throughout costume history; in the West, courts have been a major source of fashion. In the 19th and 20th centuries, fashion increasingly became a profitable, international industry as a result of the rise of world-renowned fashion houses and fashion magazines. Fashion industry has a very wide market each year the profit is increasing from 10% - 20%. In 2012 the annual global fashion industry revenue is whooping $1,200,000,000,000, and that has a lot of zeroes. Here are the top brands by Revenue.
